Last week during final testing of my Video Blog. Developed by me which is custom template of blogger using bootstrap. Which is not google Structured Data friendly. Itemprop=”image” property is missing. The mistake which needs to be solved is image missing and required. Some time it gives 3 errors,

Three errors i got but right now i am talking about the error which is usually people needs to solve for their websites or blog needs to be google structured data friendly. If you are come up with this error.

Image: Missing and Required.

So for this problem, I search around and find something. The solution was for HTML so i try to make it work for blogger. I tackle this problem with simple solution. Either you can do it using your Template edit or individual posts in blogger.

Image Missing and Required Solutions

Solution 1:

  1. Login to your Blogger Account.
  2. Go to your Template and Click edit HTML.
  3. Search for this line of code.
     <div class='Image'>
  4. You need to append this code with this tag itemprop=”image”, then your code will become.
     <div class='Image' itemprop="image">
  5. Click on save changes and it’s done.

Solutions 2:

This solutions is far better then first one because it will be handle by yourself. Either which image you want to be your structured data friendly image. Let’s get started.

You upload an image in your Blogger. Click on HTML tab at the left top corner. You will see something like this,

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
 <a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-yAX5ZEWHwEQ/UapRE9o3T5I/AAAAAAAAAtA/TPNURty_jFE/s1600/Nokia%2B1280%252C1616%252C1800%2BC1%2Blcd%2Blight%2BRepair%2BJumper%2BWays.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-yAX5ZEWHwEQ/UapRE9o3T5I/AAAAAAAAAtA/TPNURty_jFE/s1600/Nokia%2B1280%252C1616%252C1800%2BC1%2Blcd%2Blight%2BRepair%2BJumper%2BWays.jpg" /></a></div>

Add itemprop=”image” in first div. It will look like this

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;" itemprop="image">
 <a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-yAX5ZEWHwEQ/UapRE9o3T5I/AAAAAAAAAtA/TPNURty_jFE/s1600/Nokia%2B1280%252C1616%252C1800%2BC1%2Blcd%2Blight%2BRepair%2BJumper%2BWays.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-yAX5ZEWHwEQ/UapRE9o3T5I/AAAAAAAAAtA/TPNURty_jFE/s1600/Nokia%2B1280%252C1616%252C1800%2BC1%2Blcd%2Blight%2BRepair%2BJumper%2BWays.jpg" /></a></div>
